Before I actually post this up for sale...

WOULD ANYONE BE INTERESTED IN THIS RECEIVER

Basically in MINT condition, no scratches that I'm aware of...

Has been used as a preamp, amps rarely used...

200 + Shipping, usually sells for 360-400 + shipping

Let me know

If it does, I've never been able to access it, it's very simple to setup though

I saw on some website that it does have on screen display. If you have the manual, can you check? I am interested, but I really want OSD. I have it in my HT (lexicon DC2) but not on my Denon in the family room and it drives me nuts not knowing what the volume is at.

Do you mean like a LCD on the front panel? Is has in BRIGHT letters the volume number, (IE: -34, -94, --)

I'm at my Dads now...and ill take a look when i get home or on the manual on the pioneer website

There is no mention of an On-Screen display for it...sorry

How big is your family room?

The reason why I ask, unless you have a vision problem...you will probally be able to read the receiver display across the room...its very noticeable

I've never understood the OSD thing. I mean, i can't get my amp stuff to show up on my screen unless I'm flipping through the inputs to where I have the amp hooked up to......I can't get the OSD stuff unless I switch between cable (input 1), DVD (input 2), and the amp (input 3). Drives me nuts........

I don't know if you could ever do that. Once you assign one input for your amp adjustment OSD, the only place that you can see such would only be on that specific input. Where you do your menu setup (i.e. speakers, distance, etc.), that is the only place that you can check your volume level/bar. Did I misunderstood the question?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I'm still waiting for a response on the CSi40 I'm selling. If I sell that and the other members change their minds, I'll take it.

You guys are killing me over here. The OSD is the On Screen Menu system. It is the way to go. You have a MONITER OUT on the back of the unit that connects to your TV. Then you have EASY on screen access to the reciever. Instead of toggeling and playing with all the buttons on the reciever. You can instantly change all settings on the screen showing live source changes and volume adjustments. ;)

Well, I got outbid. I could bump the bid up a bit but at this point I'm thinking of just waiting and seeing what warlocks1 wants to do.

    No pressure warlocks1 ;)

Scott, everyone (except Sid maybe) knows what the OSD is, but is there a trick to hooking it up so that you don't have to change the inputs on the tv every time you wanna go and see the information? (for the OSD for instance to come up over cable TV station that I'm watching atm without changing inputs on theTV)

It depends on the type of cable your "monitering out" with. I my living room system i am using 5 S-Video and S-Video moniter out and it works on every source. But if you are using three different cables for your sources your going to have problems. Even then my Onk's will convert everything to one component out and you are in bussiness again. Most decent setups you should be going at least S-video on everything.
