Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

There are several in the box set I'd like but too many I do not for the price

I received my copy of 'Olias' on Monday, but wasn't able to listen to it until tonight.

I have to say that the difference in clarity between the Japanese "original" CD and the Mini-LP release is astounding! This AF SACD sounds so much better than either Japanese release it's amazing! The clarity in this release is increased by about 30% to 35%.

Anderson uses a number of different drums and pervussion instruments on this album, and the detail and definition of them is significantly better compared to the Japenese CDs. One example is the drum on "Song of Search". On the Japanese CD, the dum sounded bloated and had no definition. On this AF SACD there is defintion, detail and sounds like a drum.

Also, the dynamics are increased a fair amount. Again, the drums used will give you a nice "thump" on this SACD, whereas the Japanese CD would not (or nearly as much).

If I was to have one complaint, it would be the top end seems slightly to 'hot'. It's not that bad, but noticable. Not really bad enough to complain about, but I thought I would mention it.

Bottom line is if you love this album, you absolutely, 100% need to purchase this SACD! It is so mcuh better sounding than the Japanese CDs it rediculous! BUY IT NOW!
