Ebay question

Ok i put a bid on a 2 unit item. Nothing special. It was at 15.00 so i just threw a 40.00 bid on it. 2-3 days later i get email to pay. I paid it 2 mins later.
I then receive a message from seller & he states he ment to put on reserve & DIDNT. I kindly responded & said return my money 100% & you can re-list it. I have since not heard jack sh-t from him. Ive attempted 2 other messages. Ive received no refund also. I think ive been cool with my respond to him.
QUESTION-how many days do i need to wait to see if he ship's or returns my money 100%....he has 100% feedback with only 13 sales - with no other items for sale.. What should i do - wait the time ? Pisses me off he doesnt respond back after i politely told him to return my money 100% & re-list it to make more money.. Can i get stiffed by this seller?

    Contact Ebay resolution center and open a case. the good thing is all e-mails sent through Ebay are kept on file. I had to use it twice within the last few months with a few people. One more hint, try to stay away from sellers with less than 50/100 sales they are not experienece enough and make dumb mistakes like that then want a do over. You can force the issues as they aceepted your bid and was the winner.

    Thanks. I have no problem. I was buying it to give away to a relative & thought id get it by Xmas. I have the message in Ebay message that he stated he messed up.. His mess up. I want item OR credit me 100% is all i care about. I can buy something else

    thats what im trying to find out . How many days after PAID do you have ? Ive heard if you call ebay they have a set time.. He wont respond so he COULD by ebays eyes ship it

    The auction is a contract to sell. You won, you paid, he needs to ship it. Otherwise, he needs to refund and face negative feedback from you.

    Yes, he renegged on the contract, so definitely leave negative feedback. What you have here is a case of seller's remorse.

    I wont leave a negative feedback. Its all good. But after a few messages & 3 days i am PO.. Try to be decent to seller & they wonder why some do leave negative feedback. I just dont want to loose the 60.00 to a person who screwed up

    This x100. I wouldn't feel bad about giving negative feedback; this guy has earned it in spades.

    Go to paypal if that is what you used and cancel your payment to him. IF he has taken the money already start an open case with said seller and then just nail his butt with a negative feedback and slam him in the comment section. He had at least 6 days to figure out he did not have a reserve his excuse is just that an excuse to try and get more money from said unit. I'd say he was banking on a lot more from the DSP.

    I wouldn't wait any longer he has had more than enough time to make right.

    I already looked to see if it's on CL and no luck.

    I'd give it three business days and leave him negative feedback. It as a binding contract, you were being exceptionally polite by simply asking for a refund.

    Now, AFTER falling through on his contract AND no feedback, I'd neg him and have paypal return my money.

    Agreed, and you have 45 days per ebay's policy to file a claim. Unless he can prove that he shipped the item and that it was delivered, they will side with you and take the money out of his account and refund you. I have had to do it before and it is a fairly straightforward process. The only way you wouldn't get you money is if he closes his paypal account, and even then under ebays' new rules they still might refund your money out of their pocket. That is one reason why ebay fees have gone through the rough, unethical sellers like this.

    So wait a few days, even a week. There isn't a huge hurry, especially since it wasn't a lot of money. If it was several hundred dollars i would say file now.

    For sure I would open a claim if you did not get your item at the time allowed. I wouldn't hesitate to leave a negative feedback on him,whether or not it gets resolved. Your a nice guy and we get that but you've been outrightly wronged here. I won only once and the guy did ship but packaged it so horribly I did say something nowhere near a 5 star rating.

    I picked up a pair of Minty Monitor 5's for 20.00 & saw this listing & i have a tuner to match. I was going to give it to my nephew. Saw the listing in boxes & thought that would be a nice gift FROM his uncle. He loves music & has a stereo already, i gave him & he loves playing around. So this would be a great deal if it happens

    That is total Bravo Sierra... I would drop a huge neg on him asap before he tries to relist.

    If you paid via paypal... alert them immediately. You should always suspend funds to let the seller know you are not playing games and not going to let him play games. If you don't have a tracking number then he ain't shipping it.

    Its an Ebay Auction, therefore you should file any dispute/claim directly through Ebay. That is their policy. If you just file a dispute, it puts a hold on his account and give the seller notice to attempt a resolution. You can escalate it to a full blown claim later.

    Just go to your Ebay page, under Account is a link to "Resolution Center."
    That's where you want to start the process.

    Got to wait till the 12'th & then file. It hasnt been shipped & delivery is suppose to be on 12th is what Ebay CS just told me on phone. So just a time thing. Unless he shipped & didnt put tracking number on Ebay acct. who knows but for what stuff ya got to go through when a seller is a PIA its bs

    Just got my 61.09 money back from Ebay/PP.. The seller never responded back to me or Ebay. Hope they close sellers like this down for good. I left my first Negative Feedback over something stupid..

    The guy deserves to be tossed off ebay. It's a contract to sell.
    You put that stuff up on a real auction, and it's a done deal.

    ebay doesn't want anyones feelings to get hurt...you know you really want to be careful and buy from sellers who have nothing but poitive feedback, and then when some schmuck does something effed up they change it from a neg to a positive if they refund..how are buyers supposed to alerted to a schmuck seller?

    Even if they changed your feedback you should see if you can go in and change it back to negative.

    Here in KS, if the seller pulled something out from under the colonel's "Going, Going, Gone" the yokels have a ritual involving a barb wire fence &/or cattle prod. But then they used to hang coyotes on those fences (missing ears for bounty, of course).

    thats why i contacted Ebay. Why would i write a Negative feedback & hit Positive? They said there was nothing they could do ! I hit Negative button & also Negative stars. Beyond my control-odd they couldnt change it. Its over now & ive had some Positive experiences in the last 3 weeks & more to come. Ive had a overall good experience with the 15-20 sales ive had with Ebay. So 1 doesnt turn me away. Most sellers have been Very Nice. I bought a amp last week & it wasnt described 100% it needs a few things. Seller credited me 20.00. He was happy. Im happy & i had the knob repaired & the missing screw put in. I am honest. So i feel good about it. I offer pictures & video if i ask for a credit. So that way they know im honest. I do think that in SOME cases they know those things are needed.
