Need 2M pair of RCA interconnects.

I'm switching back to using single ended connections between my preamp and amp.
I would love to find a set of older Audioquest interconnnects that are a close match to the AQ Corals I'm using in the rest of my system.
I think the ones (other than Coral) that would be close are any of the 'Triple balanced', 'Perfect Surface Copper' interconnects like the Viper, Python, or Diamondback. I need a 2M-3M pair.
Let me know what you have.

I've got a 2 meter pair of Luminous Audio Synchestra Signature interconnects (six 9's purity, Ohno continuous cast copper) in my sig.
High purity, continuous cast copper should be a step up from Audioquest's perferct surface copper (my guess):

I believe that it's pretty much the same thing. AQ calls it Perfect Surface, but they get their bulk cable from Furakawa which is one of the OCC licensed manufacturers.
Your price is a bit higher than I was thinking.
Worst case, I'll get the Neotech UPOCC cables that are on sale at Soniccraft right now. They have the NEI-3004 2m for $55.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
Outlaw Audio also makes Ohno continuous cast copper interconnects at a budget price:

http://outlawaudio.com/products/cab_pca_about.html
Analysis Plus Solo Crystal interconnects are also Ohno, continuous cast copper in a diferent configuration.
I owned some of those Outlaw cables for a while and they sounded very different from the Luminous Audio (seemed much more suited for home theater than pure 2 channel audio).
Good luck in your search. -
Thanks for the info, but unless I'm missing something, it looks Like Outlaw is only selling the longer Subwoofer cables now.For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

They used to sell bundles of them for home theater uses at very competive prices.
IIRC, they used to sell them on 0.5 meter and 1.8 meter lengths (forgot if they sold them in longer lengths too).
Old ad here on Club Polk has some pictures of cosmetics:

Acoustic Zen also makes continuous cast copper products (I owned them many years ago and they have a distinct voicing that may or may not work in your particular system (more over character than coloration. Their "dealers" used to sell at fairly steep discount from MSRP years ago). They had another competitor making similar products, but forgot that brand's name.

Maybe watch Audiogon for used ones? -

Yes, I mentioned the Neotechs above. The 3004 would be my fall-back choice if I can't find some AQ cables or something comparable. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -
I have a pair, but I'll have to check the length and kind when I get home. I THINK they are 2m, but they may be a lower level AQ that you don't want.
Also have some Ben's silvers, MIT Exp2, Monoprice...:)Things work out best for those who make the best of the way things work out.-John Wooden -
BTW, after reading a bit, I think the Diamondback is actually a step down from my Corals. So I would like coral, king cobra, viper, or python. Of course, anything else that is comparable would be considered. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore...

Coral, Viper and King Cobra are all the same wire just different color braiding and RCA's. To be honest I have had both Diamondback and Viper and could not tell a difference between the two.

I think Viper and King Cobra are same cable but Viper has the older style connector like my Corals.
Coral is an older version of copper (PSC vs newer PSC+).
Diamondback has smaller gauge wire supposedly.
Overall, I'm sure the differences are very slight.
BTW, I should mention, I could probably get by with a 1M set if I moved my preamp. I wasn't thinking 'outside the box' when I first posted this thread. For rig details, see my profile. Nothing here anymore... -

you are correct in the the ends are different. Also they are now cold welded instead of soldered like the older version you have. If you go to Audioquest website and look at the archives that is where I got the info from... -
