Just finished listening to Paul McCartney new cd called New. I like it! Solid mix of pop, rock, mellow, more like some of the Wings stuff. I was not a fan of his last couple of cds but this one makes up for it. Well anyway I'm enyoying it. I am suprised on the amount of bass on some of the songs also. Sounds good on the cayin with siemens gold pin tubes in it anyway lol.

Anyone else heard it yet?

I've never listened to much of Paul's releases, but I've probably listened to this one about 20 times now.

    I really like it.

Alligator is a pretty cool song in my book. There's a couple tracks I could take or leave, but overall, one of the strongest releases from any artist recently.

Actually, there were a number of pretty good albums that came out on the same day...Avett Brothers, Arcade Fire, Willie Nelson... but I think Paul's got them all.

I picked it up with low expectations (and only because it was $7), but I like it too.

Haven't heard Willie, but I have the other cd,s you listed and I'd probably agree. For me it's close between Paul and Arcade Fire. And that's not to dismiss Avett Brothers because I like it too.

I think its definately worth a listen or 2. For me some cd's I have to listen to a few times to grow on me but this one is NOT one of them. It grabbed me from the first 4 songs.
