    Forgot to add that it is in the original box, has the manual and remote and batteries that look to have never been opened

    Yes I am SOOOO tempted here, but really don't have the coin and am satisfied with my office rig at this point. But someone is going to get a great deal!

    Has anyone compared this DAC to the DAC in the Oppo 105, or how does it compare to a Cambridge DacMagic , Benchmark DAC, or others? I know at this price its not going to compete with a separate 1500 dac but in the under $750 where would it fit?

    I want to justify this but I haven't even started ripping my cd's or streaming anything from my computer yet. It's the direction I want to go but I'm not sure if I am ready to move forward yet.

    It's not really marketed or designed to compete with the higher end units. Maybe look at AsSiMiLaTeD's posts as he did a dac comparo including some of the ones you mention in addition to the Dac IT.

    Shameless plug, but if someone picks this up and wants the matching USB to SPDIF converter I still have the X1 up for sale here. The pair make an excellent solution for someone wanting to build a computer based audio rig.

    I'm really considering getting this. I want an Oppo 105 but know that will be at least 6mo out. This could get me started in converting my cd collection and getting the apps for jriver to control things thru ipad, touch, or kindle fire.......

    Going to sleep on it for tonight, but I'll give you a decision on it by noon tomorrow.

    Daboyz- Were you running the Denon 2910 thru this out to your preamp? If so were you using optical or coax? I've got a 2910 that I running straight rca out to the 2 ch parasound pre now and wonder how much this would improve the sound of cd's.

    I was running it with a coax. I've never been a fan of optical. To me it was better with cd's than the 2910

    you want coaxial on this unit because it's the input that has the support for the highest resolution files.

    Arrived safe about an hour ago. Packed great it was bombproof. Thanks again. I hope to have it up and running late tonight or tomorrow. Still ripping cd's and now need to download JRiver and get the remote app for the Kindle Fire. Will report back in a new thread my thoughts later.
