Hello,

Every website except for polkaudio.com says that the TSi500 speakers are discontinued. Is that so? What is the replacement?

Thanks!

    Welcome to Club Polk!

I'm not sure if those are discontinued or not as you can find any number of so-called "discontinued" stock being sold, even on Polk's ebay site (like Monitor 70s).

If there is anything replacing that line it is probably the following which is on this "site" TXS 550t

    Thanks!

Polk's eBay site actually says that a lot of the listings are for discontinued products, so I'm not surprised that they have Monitor 70s. But the TSi500 speakers are listed along with the other floor speakers on this site. Every other site (Crutchfield, NewEgg, Amazon) has them out of stock and "discontinued". :(

I'm looking to finally buy a decent set of speakers, but I don't want to buy a discontinued line that's likely to be replaced with something better in the near future. The TXs550T speakers look better, but they're also much more expensive ($499 vs. $299). Plus, I'd like to get everything in the same product line, so the other pieces would also cost more. Added up, they're probably out of my budget.

    Your welcome.

The TXs550T seem to produce a bit more base than the previous M-70s or TSi-500s. They are pretty new so not many of us have heard them. Please feel free to give us your feedback if you buy a set.
