Today, I snapped this at a light just before entering the interstate. Commonplace around here and I'm sure near other manufacturing & proving ground areas. No telling what model or make it is, but here in Auburn Hills, which is where Chrysler HQ is, it's a good chance that it's one of theirs

Motown has come a long way.

I worked for TACOM @ the former Michigan Army Missile Plant, Sterling Heights, which was to become VW's Rabbit warren (never happened). In 1980, the Dodge truck plant's gravel parking lot across the street (1 sq mi ?) was empty. The only thing in production was vans, which were driven across the street & outfitted for Ma Bell. UAW would hold a bash on Friday afternoons, with sledge hammers & a Toyota Corolla for entertainment. I recall a Chevy dealer's ad: Buy a Blazer, Get a Free Chevette!

Conveyance of the Michigan Army Missile Plant Remarks on Signing H.R. 6464 Into Law.
