I just read that John Mayall turned 80 on Friday. I saw him at the New Orleans Jazz Fest about two or three years ago and he blew the roof off the mother. I can't believe he's 80!

One of my very favorite artists for well over 45 years. Isn't it great how he's still out there playing the blues he loves? We've seen him several times and always had a great time.

Happy birthday to the "Road Dog"!

Saw him two years ago at a small club in Plymouth NH and it was one of the best shows I can remember.
He was out front signing cd's and chatting after the show.
Great night and a great musician!!

In our house, some of the most spoken phrases are, "can you believe that movie came out in____"

Or, I cant believe so and so is that old.

Got to see him at the front row theater here in Cleveland years ago. Um, early eighties? Mick Taylor and John McVie were with him.
Good stuff. Wow that was 30 years ago 8^)

Yeow, Mick Taylor, John McVie and John Mayall. I would like to see Mick Taylor go on a tour of the U.S. He's played one or two gigs in NYC recently I think but he seems to be in a lot better physical condition after the Stones tour (huh?) so maybe there's hope for a few more U.S. shows.

John Mayall, has been one of my favorites for many years. Not sure how many of his CD's are in my collection but has to be 15 or so (not even close to how many he has put out over the years). I've seen him a few times over the years. Usually in smaller joints as he works his way across the nation. Always a good show and great music.

Hope I get a few more chances to see him live.
