For sale is an excellent entry level after market power cord. It is 5 ft in length and the cable is much more flexible than the shorter version.
Asking $55 shipped

    Bump for a nice deal.

C'mon folks, this is a great way for a "skeptic" to try something for him/herself without bustin' the budget.
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Not interested myself, but which powercord is it? Signal's website doesn't have a "Monster" power cable. Is it a "Magic Power" cable perhaps?

I have these cables on everything I own...love these. I also use the Digital Power type from the same company. I couldn't find myself to part with any of them.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    pymnt sent thanks dhart!

Obviously I could try with my own ears to compare the difference and probably will, but any opinions on the better use for this power cord- a. On the Parasound P LD 2000 preamp or b. on the Pioneer 51 blu ray player. I'm leaning towards the preamp.

I may be looking for a new blu ray/ cd source soon as well. The Pioneer has not wanted to play the last 3 blu rays I rented. No problem with cd's or dvd's but glitch on the Blu Ray.

Oppo is calling my name day and night.

    I would go w/ pre-amp.

And If you get an Oppo I dont think you would be unhappy with it

I had that bdp, really liked it except it was slow and didn't stream, did I sell it to you? Anyway, have you updated the firmware? May solve your problem.

^ Yes, it's your former player. It had ver 1.73 on it and another firmware update was released in August, so I burned the iso file and updated firmware earlier today. No go still on Man of Steel bluray. It'll go thru the intro's but then hangs up and have to disconnect power cord to remove disc. Still plays cd's fine, but with my ps3 down as well I'm trying to decide on a bluray player to get me thru until an oppo down the road. Also did a factory reset and cleared the cache it saves. I think the laser is going bad, oh well.

I'll probably go with a cheap blue ray player and use the Denon 2910 thru the Peachtree DAC for cd's for now. I should have jumped on the PS3 for sale in the flea market a few days ago.

Well that sucks man, sorry to hear that. I guess it is getting a little long in the tooth. I replaced it with this one:http://www.amazon.com/Sony-BDP-S390-Blu-ray-Player-Wi-Fi/dp/B006U1YVZ8/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1386867473&sr=8-1&keywords=sony+bdp-s390 (notice the amazon warehouse deals) and it is great if you're not looking for the ultimate player. Boots fast, streams well, and has played everything I've tried. And since it has built-in wifi, it is very easy to do firmware updates. Plus when it dies, I only paid about 80 I think. An oppo just doesn't make sense for me, my TV is only 720p, and my surround sound is almost all in-ceiling, so I don't listen to any music on that setup...
