Is the Polk Audio T15 a good choice as fronts and rears to pair them with the CS1?

I know you're supposed to match speakers from the same series when you're picking up your rears, front and center channel speakers but Best Buy has the T15 on sale for $49.99 a pair and I'm tempted to get 2 pairs for fronts and rears. I'm building my new budget home theater and so far I only have the receiver and the CS1 center channel speaker and I'm looking for fronts and rears. I was thinking to match the CS1 with either the Monitor30, 40 or 60 Series II speakers by saving money and taking it easy but I saw the sale and I feel tempted to forget about the monitor Series II Speakers and get two pairs of T15 as front and rear speakers. For that sale price I can get 2 pairs of T15 speakers for the price of just one pair of Monitor30 Series II speakers. The only downside is that the T15 are not the same series as the CS1 but they are so affordable that I'm willing to forget that they aren't a match. So people what do you think, is there much of a difference between the CS1 and the CSR/CSM which are the recommended center channel speakers to match the T15? Is there much of a difference between the Monitor 30 Series II and the T15 speakers? Thanks in advance.

I have the Pioneer VSX-822-K and the room is about 28' long X 12' wide X 8' tall. I plan to get a 12" sub-woofer but I'm still undecided. I have some options under the radar like the Polk Audio PSW505 or the BIC America F12.

Can anybody please answer the question?

5.1 or 7.1 ? They can work. The room is a bit large for them (I would go with Rti4/6's in front) or even and older pair of Monitor 40's. The T15 work great in a smaller room as they give a very detail clean sound.Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

The system will be a 7.1 with front high speakers. I'm in a budget and I need to assemble this home theater in phases. Phase one was the receiver and the center channel speaker when I saw it on sale two days later. I wanted to get all Polk Audio Monitor Series II speakers but I didn't notice on time that they are old speakers and are kind of running out. Now that I think better about it I think I'll go with the TSI series cherry tone or another budget current speaker line that is not about to run out.
TSI300/400 as front speakers, CS10/20 as center and TSI200 as surround speakers. But that is expensive and will take me several months to save that kind of money so I'll go with inexpensive speakers first. The T15 might not fill my audio needs but fit the budget need just right. For $99.96 plus tax I can get two pairs and use them as front and surround speakers and fulfill my desire for emergency speakers until I can save enough money to get the expensive ones. For $49.98 a pair I'm almost convinced to get them as emergency speakers. I just wanted to listen about your opinions about how do they blend with the CS1. I hope they do blend right because I'm almost convinced to get the 2 pairs of T15.
Beside the TSI line what other line of budget speakers is currently selling and not about to run out? -
I understand your situation, I have the T15's as fronts in my daughters room with a CSR Center and SW10 sub. It sounds very nice, but the room is only 10 by 12. I just put together a system for one of my sons for his house that has the Rti4 as fronts a CS250-S center and T15 as rears powered by a Pioneer VSX 522-k. I have yet to finish the whole setup (speaker placement) I will post my results.Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

Never thought i would give advice but i would strongly advise from buying the T15's i LOVE polk but these speakers suck i hate them i had them on 2 receivers and the sound is bright and the mids are well actually decent for their size but the 30's way better and you can get them for 80$ which is a steal and they do match the CS1. With 4 monitor 30's and a CS1 center at a 100-80 crossover even budget receivers will play that setup good. Just grab a good 12 inch sub(not the cheap polk 10 inch their 505 is good) I own a Bic F12 and its great for movies and games and ok for music the polk 505 is great for music and ok for games and movies.Pioneer 521-K
Polk monitor 70's Fronts
T15's Rear(upgrading to the monitor 30's)
CS1 center(upgrading to the CS2) -
I guess I'll be patient and get a pair of Monitor40 instead.

I advise on the bic f12...the best bang for your buck. Believe me, once tuned and placed properly, it will rock your house and sound great!!My Setup: Denon AVR X3600h, Polk Signature S50 Fronts w/ S30 Center and S15 Rears, LG UBK90 4K Player, TCL 6-Series 65”4k TV -
The T15s are a good buy at 49. Just got mine today and out of the box they almost equal my tsi100s (monitor 30s).BigLouis1971 wrote: »I know you're supposed to match speakers from the same series when you're picking up your rears, front and center channel speakers but Best Buy has the T15 on sale for $49.99 a pair and I'm tempted to get 2 pairs for fronts and rears. I have been eyeing those same Monitor 40s from newegg for that price, I may pull the trigger if I have some pocket cash by the end of the month.Family Room HT 7.2/i]:Vizio Oled55h1 Pioneer Elite SC-LX502 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Eversolo DMP A6 Panamax M5300-EXSpeakers Fronts Fluance XF8L Center Polk Audio S35 Side Surrounds Fluance bipolar Rear Surrounds FluanceXF8 Bookshelf Subs SVS PB4000 x2 Living room 2ch: Crown Xli 1500 amp x2, Teac EQ MKII FX Audio X6 Mk II DAC Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Tower Speakers Panamax M5100-EXOffice media room:Vizio M50Q6 50" Pioneer Elite VSX LX301 Eversolo DMP-A6 Polkaudio R600 Towers Polkaudio Center R350 Panamax M4300 Monoprice 12" subMaster bedroom:Vizio M55Q7 Pioneer Elite VSX LX302 Pioneer Elite BDP 85FD Squeezebox Touch Fluance Signature Bookshelf fronts, Rears Fluance Signature Bipolar Polk Audio CS10 center Monoprice 12" sub Panamax M5300-EX

People finally my pair of Monitor40 Series II speakers arrived and I'm very happy with their sound. Now I have 3 quality speakers as my front L/R and center speakers. The bass sound so beautiful that I have to ask why exactly should I get a sub-woofer? I mean the Monitor40 go down to about 40Hz according to the specs and the CS1 to about 55Hz. I get plenty of bass going that low. If I add a sub-woofer maybe it can go down to about 25 or 30Hz. Exactly what I'm missing from 25Hz to 40Hz or 55Hz to justify the addition of a sub-woofer? How many movies or music really go down that low? Now that I heard the Monitor40 as fronts I'm not so sure that I need a sub-woofer. Oh and before I forget about it, where can I find the info about the frequency response of each channel in a 5.1 or 7.1 channel system? I need to know that to get 2 pairs of matching surround and surround high speakers.

How do I hook these speakers up ? T15 bookshelf series
