Muse, first time on blu-ray. This concert will be released this coming Tuesday and will include a cd, price point for concert and cd is $16.99, pretty decent. Filmed in UHD 4K, hoping for good results.

Cool. Haven't picked it up yet, how did you find the audio/video quality? Heard it was filmed in 4K...

I've not done a critical listen yet, I got so caught up in the show that I didn't really listen all that carefully. I have't played in on the Maggies yet, only on the setup here in the office - on a 47" LED thru the PS3 listening on the headphone rig. What I can say is that the video and audio are at least good enough to make this enjoyable, but whether they're anything beyond that or could be considered reference I couldn't tell you - I just didn't find myself analyzing this like I do a lot of concerts the first time I watch.

I'll end up watching it again in the next couple days and will post more constructive thoughts at that time.

Well, that speaks volumes if you're that caught up in the show. Thanks for your thoughts...

If you've seen the HAARP show at Wembley this one is similar in scale to that show, but with better video and audio. If you have not seen that concert and are a Muse fan you should check it out. I really wish they would release that one on Blu Ray - I have a movie and concert library of about 2000 titles and it's literally the ONLY bootleg item I own, and I'd gladly pay any price they ask to have it on Blu Ray.

I watched it again tonight and honestly think it's one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I still didn't do a critical listen, but did some switching back and forth between the stereo and lossless surround tracks and both are very good. The surround track is very well mixed, there are no gimmicks like a guitar playing in the rear speaker the way a lot of converts are, the music is centered up front with some slight reverb and crowd noise coming from the rears.

If you're worried about the sound quality issues that plague many of their recordings don't be, this is some of the best sounding Muse that exists. By the way, if you're looking for a good sounding Muse album, the hi-rez version of The 2nd Law is by far the best sounding album they've put out, I'd actually go so far as to call it superb.

Delivery was delayed 3 days because of ice, etc., but I'm watching it now. Excellent!! Both audio and video are outstanding.

On the third viewing I was able to do a fair critical assessment, and honestly this BD is just perfect. The performance is superb, the video is easily reference material and the surround mix is done very, very well. There's not much to add from my earlier review, except that I've done a critical viewing and found nothing wrong.

It would be nice to have a few extras thrown in, but I'm not complaining.

Never mind. I just found and ordered it. It is a CD with a BR.

Never heard of these guys, but based on this thread I tried to buy the BR. Amazon doesn't have it. Only HD downloads.

I've had this issue before as well. My local music store had this concert in their CD section, not the BD concert section. Same with Van Morrison's 5.1 of Moondance, it's packed with 4 CDs and the 5.1 BD and is also found in the CD section there. At least I know where to look now in those cases...
