6 ch amp question

Found a good deal on a 6 ch rotel amp. Not bridgable, but was wondering if using Y splitters on the back of the avr would work so i can bi amp my speaks

Yeah, you could do that. Split the line level signal coming out of the avr so that you have one amp channel for the top and one amp channel for the bottom of the speaker.
Wouldn't be my preference, but hey, try it....may blow your skirt up, who knows.HT SYSTEM-

Does it have xlr inputs? (I'm guessing you don't have XLR on your receiver). If it's common ground AND it has XLR, you can bridge it:
-Strap the grounds on two channels
-Y out the back of your AVR
-One side of the Y goes to the + XLR pin and ground on one channel
-Other side goes to -XLR pin and ground on the other channel

Just keep in mind that:
1) It's going to run HOT. Consider adding a fan
2) You're going to have to muck around with levels since it'll have more gain than the other non-bridged channels
