Revel Performa M22 - 525$

I have up for sale of a pair of Revel M22 bookshelves in black ash. I am the second owner of the item. They're outstanding speakers all around and in their price class, a very heavy hitter. I was wondering why Stereophile would rate a 2k$ bookshelf speaker Class A, but after hearing them, I fully understand. Functionally the speaker performs wonderfully. However, cosmetically there is much to be desired. First off there is a dent in the dust cap, but since the dent is in the dust cap and not the cone, performance should not be affected. The cabinets are in poor condition as well. There are nicks, scuffs, dents, pretty much all around. The grilles have holes in certain places. However since the cabinets are dark, it's harder to make out the imperfections at a glance.

The price certainly reflects the condition they're in. Normally, I believe they go for around $1k. For a Stereophile Class A speaker that still functions wonderfully and if you don't mind the condition, for the money they're very hard to beat. Only reason I'm selling is because I picked up a pair of Revel Gems. If interested, I have plenty of pictures detailing the cosmetic imperfections.

Price is 525$ firm. Delivery to LA, OC, SD can be done for a small fee. Shipping is possible but I do not have the original boxes.

    I have the M20's and can attest that these guys perform way above their price point.
    Shame on you for not giving these speakers some loving...
    That being said, now someone can grab some smokin' performance for not much cash. Some light sanding and refinishing could potentially rejuvenate these to showroom condition.

    I know I know... I've honestly owned these speakers for less than 6 weeks. I was thinking about applying some black varnish after some steel wool, but once I set them on their stands, I just didn't really see the imperfections so I didn't bother. My listening room is usually quite dim and it was like the imperfections weren't there...

    Received today in excellent condition - actually much better shape than the flash pics would indicate. I can see why you weren't in any rush to work on them. Thanks for the easy transaction and great comm.

    But I've got to wonder what kind of voodoo was used to make these things. They're not overly large or heavy; but somehow they go impossibly deep and tight. Crystal clear, smooth detail from top to bottom; perfectly balanced, organic. Fantastic imaging without the first adjustment, large sweet spot.

    I just could not be any happier. Thanks again aboroth00!

    Sounds like I should've not flashed the pics and charged 100$ more :P. Anytime bud. You can see why I liked them so much and they made me get the Revel Gem's. For a modern speaker, they're warm, tight, and detailed, a very hard feat. Glad you're enjoying them so much and post a your thoughts and maybe a review sometime!
