I just dropped by 3 month old Samsung phone right on the corner of a coffee table (of course it couldn't have landed flat on the surface of the table). Half of the screen is black, although I see no actual crack in the glass. Is this phone toast?

...which is why I still have the old style "flip open" phones. I've dropped the dang thing so many times, even onto concrete from a foot or two. I couldn't tell you how many times the battery has popped out, it still works, go figure.

However, I also don't need a "smart" phone, wish I could get rid of the cheap one I have but it's a must for work and that's about all...
