Anyone who has been around this site for long does not need to be told this, but for those others.

Dawgfish is as good as it gets.

Steve "Dawgfish", and his friend Derrick came by the house sunday night to pick up my dcm tf400s derrick was buying.

We had a blast, two great guys, talked about music, audio gear, polkies, and life in general.

It was like a little vacation for me, like most people, we have been living our lives of quiet (and sometimes not so quiet) desperation for some time now, and for a lot of reasons, mainly health related, travel, activitys, and human contact in general, is severely limited.

Well, long story short, along with great fellowship, dawg brought me a spin clean system to borrow, and a jolida jd9phono pre, to borrow and really hear what our TT setup could do.

Before he left, he told me the spin clean was mine to keep, i was blown away, i have yet to use it, but tonight will be the first.

The jolida makes a tremendous difference in sound.

We were listening to Fleetwood Macs Rumours, debs favorite, and the clarity of stevie nicks harmonizing with herself in "Dreams"
was almost startling, as well as the lack of congestion when the soundstage was filled with many instruments.

Im hoping to be able to host these guys to a meat loaf dinner very soon, they are welcome in this little house anytime.

That's great Scott. Hat's off to Dawgfish. I've been wanting to get one of those spin cleans myself so I'm envious. Sweet pre as well, I imagine it's a bit better than the NAD.

    Good Dawg!! Nicely done.

I always tell folks about the great people this place has an abundance of. Always happy to hear of more fine examples of this in the affirmative.

Believe me Scott, the pleasure was all ours! Derrick and I definitely enjoyed our time hanging with you. Scott's generosity was of the charts! He sent me home with some ADL book shelfs to try out and a Carver Pre! My buddy Derrick hooked them up last night and said they sound awesome. I can't wait to get my ears on them! It was great meeting you and Deb, and I'm looking forward to hanging out in the future! Keep on rocking the JD-9. I don't see myself needing it anytime soon. I thought about getting rid of it all together, but decided to keep as back up for my modded JD-9 I'm running. I was having trouble with the right channel cutting in and out intermittently on the modded JD-9 so I wanted to keep the sotck unit around as backup. Turns out it was just a loose opamp in the modded unit and it's playing fine now. If I decide to get rid of it you have first dibs. The next time I head up your way I'll bring a few more goodies up ther for you (the dent pullers to hold the records when cleaning/drying and a record clamp). Thanks again Scott, you are a true gentlemen!
