DSW Micro Pro 2000 -- Thoughts?

Hey everyone --

I was searching the interwebs and found this guy on craigslist: http://milwaukee.craigslist.org/ele/4209615709.html

It's a DSW Micro Pro 2000 that's being sold for $400. Purely out of curiousity, would anyone here consider picking that up vs spending a few hundred more for an SVS or HSU?

For the sake of argument, let's assume it's a fairly small room.

Great sub, equally adept for music which is much harder to do with a sub.

If I move someday, will I regret not having a 12" sub? I've got a PSW111 now, and I'd imagine it would be night and day different, right?

Yes, it's a night and day difference. The PSW111 is an HT sub, sucks a$$ for music. The MicroPro is great for music and HT.

Is $400 a fair price? Are they reliable?

Very nice sub. Great for music and can do HT in a mid to smaller room too. I had the opportunity to DEMO the 1000 (very similar) and do a review a while back. Two thumbs UP!

Actually the 1000 doesn't have room correction. That is the significant difference between the 1k and the 2k.
