Picked this up for my wife today. Early Black Friday deal for $399. Also had a $55 Gift Card and a $20 Reward Certificate, so not too bad I don't think.
I'm admittedly not much of a computer guy, so...good deal or not?

You are going to hate the win 8 interface.
1ST thing I did was install the run interface."The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
Lenovos are pretty nice even the lower models like this one. Have pretty much the same model with 8 gigs of RAM. Been running for almost a year. No real problems.
The only complaint is the track pad is a little "too sensitive". Something that Windows 8.1 upgrade seems to have tweaked a little.
You can pretty much "ignore" W8 if you want by migrating everything to the Desktop, and or pinning it to the task bar on the desktop.
8.1 gives you a button that lets you access the live tiles and switch back and forth from the desktop. It also reproduces a button in the tile view that allows easy access to ALL aps. I suspect 8.2 will "return" even more familiar functions.
BTW. That's a very GOOD price for this machine which normally sells at about $500-549 discounted?

Hi
That is a good deal.
If you want to have the regular start button on W8.1 use Classic Shell works great on desktop mode. I use it on mine and like it.
