I use Marantz av 7701, and it is solid. the rap on it is No Audessey xt32, but the version it does have is totally adequate. I went with the Sunfire 7401 and would have went with the 7201 except i got a great deal on an open box but never used 7401 whuch as you can imagine is a kick A$$ amplifier all connected wit balanced interconnects. I recently added a 2nd sub, and this is a big upgrade to my ht. You would not be disappointed with Marantz/Sunfire combo imho and you will get a lot of other opinions here also.My New Year's resolution is 3840 × 2160

If I were you, and you have already decided on the Marantz, I would hold off on the amp. I would buy the front mains, and since you already have a B&W front, maybe look at that line up, and then a sub. You may find the Marantz will drive those speakers just fine, or maybe only want a 2 or 3 channel amp. Either way, the amp should be a little bit further down on the priority list.
The front 3, at least should be timbre matched. Mixing different lines from the same manufacturer, let alone different manufacturers on those front 3 will degrade the sound stage.
For whatever it's worth that would be my approach.
Almost forgot my manners, welcome to Club Polk. -

Hi Mike,
Thanks to explain.
To be honest I'm thinking about my system, because I don't want to do bull****.
I have the center speaker, front(seeing it) and rear speakers, now is time to think if it is a good idea to have a processor/pre + multichannel amp or receiver + Pre + Power(Integrate) + DAC, the second one has the option to put my system in vanilla stereo state, and it is interesting because I have a turntable, do you see ?
Well, I'm really thinking on this, someone could share the experience on this?
Cheers,
Alex -
I have had 3 previous HT systems that were based on some decent receivers.
My recent setup of the last year or so is what it says in my signature, and I have a couple of 2 channel rigs (listening room and office) where i listen to music. I use my Marantz pre pro as a source to my 2 channel systems too for network audio.
Bottom line is if you want an A$$ kicking HT that will also sound "good" musically, then going the separates route is definitely the best way to go.
You will be hard pressed to find an AVR that would give you the performance of separates and the only limitation you have is your wallet.
Speakers are very subjective, and you need to go with what sounds good to you. I could tell you my rig is da bomb, but that only means its the bomb to me. Everyone else will have an opinion.
Just make sure you commit a decent part of your budget for cables(interconnects, speaker, HDMI's etc.)My New Year's resolution is 3840 × 2160

Well I think I got the message, to have a great HT and a good musically go with the Marantz and the multichannel amp, this is more cheap to set up. And if I want a amazing HT and an outstanding musically do it separate.
So, I can use the Marantz for the both source with the same quality but it will not sounds outstanding for music purpose in the same room.
I have a limit to spend now. So I think I will go with the Marantz and the Parasound for the HT and for the music for now, and after I see what I can change.
I have a question, is it possible to do the Marantz use just the front speaker when I want the TT working and put the Marantz using all the speaker when I'm using the TV?
About the cables, there is some recommendation to use with the speakers and the Marantz and Parasound?
Congratulations for your system the Yaqin MC100B is a relic.
Thanks again
