Ordered a new woofer straight from polk (MW7018) after crackling in the right woofer. Installed it tonight and it doesnt seem like its producing any sound. The left woofer and the tweeter work but nothing from the new woofer. Any thoughts? The red wire is hooked on the side with the red dot.

The problem may not have been the woofer, it may be the crossover. A simple test, swap the left and right woofers.

Lots of weird things happen in this hobby. Swap them and report back.

Yes, test the woofers. i would pull out all three and test them one by one connected direct to the amp avr at low volume....this takes the crossover out of play. This way you can listen for noise from the motor. You should be able to better find the issue with the driver.

If all three drivers turn out to be ok, then you will know that there is a problem with the crossover. If so, pull the crossover out and give it a visual inspection. Look for bad solder joints or charred componenets or traces on the circuit board.
