Need Receiver Recommendation Please
Hey guys,
I am new to the forum so I am not even sure if I am posting this question in the right place. If not, please let me know where it should be posted.
I am a newbie with a basic understanding of HT systems and audio. I recently purchased two Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II speakers and a BIC America F12 12-Inch subwoofer. I am looking for an AV receiver for my 2.1 system that can adequately power the two speakers and sub. I would like something with a minimum of 3 hdmi inputs and 1 hdmi output as I would like to hook up my TV, blueray player, and potentially a xbox one down the road. I will be using the system 75% for watching sports and 25% for listening to music. I would like to stay under $300 if possible and have no problem buying used or refurbished if thats what I need to do to stay within my price range.
Sorry for the long post but you guys are experts and I wanted to give you as much info as possible! Thank you in advance for your help guys. Please let me know if you need any more info from me.

If you could up your budget a couple of hundred, Accessories4less has a few AVR's that will work. Recommend you get an AVR with pre-outs, so that future upgrades will be a little more cost effective. These AVR's also tend to have a more robust power supply. In you price range your looking at entry level AVR's, and not that they won't work or are bad, just better products up the food chain a little.
Anyway, they have a Marantz SR 5007, factory refurb for $500 that would be a pretty good AVR. -
Second the Accessories4less recommendation. I got my receiver there years ago and have had nothing but a good experience. While also agree that you should look for a unit with preouts and good features/power, you would probably be happy with something like the Denon AVR-1713.Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |
Amps: Rotel RB-990bx | Marantz MA-500 | Speakers: Totem Mite : Totem Mite-C : RC60i | Sub: HSU VTF-2 MKIV
HK AVR635 | Polk R30 | Sony DVD/SACD Player
