Experience Hendrix 2014 Tour

I noticed a concert called the Experience Hendrix 2014 Tour, coming in March near me. Billy Cox, Buddy Guy, Johhny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Doyle Bramhall III, Dweezil Zappa, Eric Johnson, and more. Anybody else hear about this?

    I'll try to do it when I get home tonight, it was on the Milwaukee Pabst Theater's member email. Tickets go on sale tomorrow maybe. You could try to google Pabst Theater Milwaukee.

    I saw the Experience Hendrix tour in 2008 when it played the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY, and it was an incredible show. I highly recommend it. What could be better than hearing some of the world's best guitarists performing 3 + hours of Hendrix songs!

    When I saw the tour, Mitch Mitchell played drums on some songs (he died later that year, I believe). Stevie Ray's Double Trouble was the rhythm section for most of the night, and they had some incredible guitarists (Buddy Guy, Brad Whitford, Jonny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Eric Johnson, etc). I still am in awe at Kenny Wayne Shepherd's take on Voodoo Chile. Wow.

    Billy Cox was at a table after the show signing photographs of the Experience and I met him and got a signed photograph which I have framed in my music room.

    All in all a great show worth checking out!

    pgbook, thanks for the info. Presale tickets for Milwaukee go on sale tomorrow and I am going to try to get a couple good seats.

    I saw it/them a couple of years ago-- well worth the price of admission--KWS does an very good Voodoo Chile

    Holy crap, Don, this looks outstanding.

    I'll have to try to talk the wife into letting me go to this one. We will hopefully have a two-week old in the house at that point, so I may have to do some favors between now and then.
