Looking to upgrade my digital interconnect

I have a couple older AQ Toslink cables, Optilink 1 and Optilink X. I am currently using a generic digital coax and I was looking at possibly going with a DH labs Silver Sonic DH-750 digital coax. http://www.silversonic.com/docs/products/D750.html
I read through a few threads and found that you don't need to spend a lot of coin on these and even possibly going with a BJC interconnect, I have a few of the LC-1 cables and like them a lot.
I'm after a 1 meter cable and I want to keep it as neutral as possible. I think what I have is slightly on the bright side but not overly so. I'm trying to get slightly more punch in the midrange if I had to briefly describe it.
Not sure which digital coax I have but it's all black with a single orange ring around the RCA. I thought Dayton originally but I honestly don't remember where I picked it up from.
Basically I want the best I can get without spending more than $150, and honestly finding one for $30 would be much more welcomed.

FWIW, I own the DHLabs D-75, but (slightly) prefer my $24 Belden 1694A from Blue Jeans cable. Just saying.
If you go BJC...go with a PROPER digital coaxial, not an analog IC. Just some friendly advice. The 1694A really blew me away when I got it---I thought I would hate it. I was wrong.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
I bought a black cat veloce off the forum for like 40 or 50 bucks. Best cable I own.
Can do rca or bnc. Highly recommended."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Don't be fooled, there are plenty of differences in digital cables. Maybe not as profound as regular analog cables, but certainly audible. The Blackcat mentioned above is a stellar performer. I'm using an Audio Metallurgy GA-0 digital cable that I simply won't part with, but that's probably more than your looking to spend.HT SYSTEM-

What stands out with the BJC that gives it the slight edge? For the price it's a no-brainer just to have it and I have read many positive reviews. -
The DH750 is a very good cable, and DH Labs true 75 ohm RCA plugs are some of the best.

I think it is a touch more neutral, especially in the midrange. The DH Labs is good too, no doubt. I bought the DH Labs a long time ago, and later tried the belden 1694A; I have felt no need to "upgrade" the 1694A--it's specs for 75ohm digital transmission are outstanding.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -
I have 1M of BJ 1694A on the way. Maybe around xmas if some loot rolls in (yeah right) I may try the DH 750 and compare. Anyone know if they changed the DH 75 much for the new 750, sonically anyway?

If you don't like the belden, send it to me, and I'll send you a 1M D-75 from DH Labs, RCA-RCA. How's that sound?
IMHO, the 1694A is a "best kept secret" in digital cables.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2 -

I concur I have used it(1694A) to make analog cables as well as Canare L-5cfw personally I could not tell the difference. -

I appreciate that offer......sure sounds like the 1694 is the winner. I will let you know.
I was using the BJ LC-1 for my pre-amp interconnect, 1.5M and while slightly long it sounded real good. I moved the components around to try the .5M Kimber hero I have owned for about 8-10 years. The LC-1 seems tighter but the highs are more detailed with the Hero, but only slightly. I tried them back to back to back many times over the course of an hour and the LC-1 is 90-95% of the Hero.
That's another interconnect I want to play with and not sure where to look but the Hero does very well.
