Speaker Stand Opinions?
Hi all,
I'm looking for some opinions anyone may have for speaker stands. I have a mantle where my RTi A3's sit but I would like them to tilt downwards to my listening position a little more.
I've been toying with the idea of wall mounting them but I have no studs behind the wall in this location and don't feel too comfortable securing them with drywall anchors. The other option would be to cut open the drywall and put some wood backing but don't want to do that if I don't have to.
Which brings me to speaker stands. I've found these speaker stands that are tiltable by Isoacoutiscs http://www.isoacoustics.com
Would anyone have any experience with these or any other speaker stand that may fit this application?
Thank you.
Babber

How big is that mantle ? Seems to me the speakers alone would be too big for the average mantle. Stands look good if they fit your purpose. A cheap alternative is a couple small blocks of wood under each speaker in the rear to tilt it down some.HT SYSTEM-

Ya. It's a big mantle. I custom built it for my home theatre. I thought about building some custom stands but getting laZy. If I have to I will but hoping someone out here would have a suggestion for a tiltable stand. In hind site I should have built the mantle a little lower to ear level.Home Theatre

Depends on what you want to spend. Mapleshade has nice stands that even the wife will approve of or even just brass footers added to the back. Their stands aren't cheap though, but they are lookers.HT SYSTEM-

I was looking for the same thing....and I think some plant stands (nice) are perfect for big bookshelf speakers. Also some small tables for lamps or stools....Make it simple...Make it better!

After looking at how much quality stands cost I built my own. Easy job if you have the tools and the time.Display: LG 47" LCD | AVR: Marantz SR5005 | BD: Panasonic BDT-210 | CD/SACD: Oppo 980 |
