Thanks for the heads up. I will see if it's on in my area and watch if it is.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

In my area they re-ran the Jimi Hendix american masters at 2:30 (3:30 my time). I recorded that, since I missed the earlier showing. Hopefully get a chance to watch it this weekend. No Lou Reed either, but that's OK. -
The Jimi Hendrix Experience: Hear My Train A Comin' [Blu-ray] (2013) for $19.99 on Amazon . . .
I watched & will watch again during a pledge week, no doubt. The blu-ray would be a better reward than another Red Green coffee cup! -

Watched it last night. Other than about a minute or two of footage from Miami, nothing I hadn't sen before. Even many of the commentaries were repeated from previous programs. guess they would have ro be, since many of them are dead.
Probably the most disappointing thing was all the live scenes they showed, but the audio was dubbed in from the studio albums. -
Recently finished reading Richard Cross's "Room Full of Mirrors", a biography of Jimi. Its a good read with a less watered down version of the highs and lows of Jimi's life. Unfortunately the lows probably overshadowed the highs, but maybe that is why his music is poignant and timeless. Forty-four years after first listening to Hendrix I still come back to feel again. He was all about the music and it is our loss that he left us so young.
In the sixties he wrote, "and I come back to find the stars misplaced and the smell of a world that has burned.... or maybe its just a change of climate".
And of course, "If I don't see you no more in this world, I'll meet you in the next one, so don't be late, don't be late!"
Live and enjoy what he created!
