My first Home theatre

I am using a Onkyo TX-NR626 receiver. Since I have loved my Polk Monitor 70 speakers, I purchased some Monitor 60's for my front speakers. I also have a Polk PSW 10 sub, 4 Polk MC65 surround speakers, and a Polk CS101 center speaker. Is it better for me to hook the sub directly to the receiver or would I get better results running the Monitor 60s through the sub in the low-pass crossover option?

Should have more control of crossover if you let the receiver do the hand off to the low frequency going to the sub.
