Dodd Tube Buffer Preamp

This is a fully upgraded tube buffered "passive" preamplifier from Dodd Audio in Texas. This preamp is awesome as it can be battery powered for no A/C noise. It was upgraded by Gary with an LDR volume attenuator, NOS Reflektor 6H30P-DR tube, PRP resistors, and of course all Cardas connectors; I later swapped the stock Sonicaps for ClarityCap MRs. Because the vacuum tube takes 30 seconds to warm up, the unit has a mute feature which cuts all output, and allows you to turn it on, swap cables, etc without any noise or pops. It will come with the recommended CTek Smart Charger to run it off battery power, and a TrippLite 7A power supply for very low noise, regulated, and linear power. It will also come with extra tubes including an NOS RCA clear top 6CG7, and the chassis had Dynamat Xtreme applied to it, along with foam strips were applied between the top and bottom chassis pieces to prevent metal on metal noise and vibration. You cannot get a tube buffer preamp with better upgrades, and it sounds great with using my Squeezebox Touch or Blu-ray player as the source.
$1000 for the preamp, charger, TrippLite power supply, and extra tubes. I will including up to $50 in shipping and paypal fees, anything over that will be at actual cost.

(The reason this picture is from Gary's website, is it's the unit he used for pictures for the site)

Don't ask me what component I'm moving to because it's a secret until I have it in the system...

All I want to ask you is would you take a kidney in exchange .
Lots of Dodds been up for sale lately... extremely unusual...."....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
Okay, I won't ask you what component you're moving up to..... Very nice unit here.

To clarify from a few emails, a 12V battery is not included with this preamp, but the Gary Dodd recommend CTek smart charger is included; plus the TrippLite power supply for non-battery power. A battery would be prohibitively expensive to ship, and a good one can be found at any local Radio Shack, etc.
I would be willing to include a battery for a local sale. -
This is an incredible sounding preamp, GLWYS."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

Looks kind of like a badass version of the Dodd ELP. GLWYS.

You don't see Dodd products come up often....bag 'em while you can.

Thanks for the high praise guys; Dodd equipment was a significant and audible step up in sound quality in my system.
I'll try to snap a few pictures tonight of the power supply, charger, extra tubes, etc. -
Here is a picture of the power supply and tubes and the dampers will be included; with extra stock tubes behind in bubble wrap. I do leave the power supply on 24/7 for best results as it doesn't run too warm.

Somebody got a really nice unit!

Decided to try this with my SRS 2s for a different listening experience. I've heard nothing but good things on here about MF gear from Jesse and a few others, so thought I'd give it a go! The unit should be on my doorstep within a week.
