Bose wave player function stuck

My dear mother gave me this and I honestly like it for passive listening in the bedroom.

Out of nowhere, I cannot change the functions. The machine is stuck on the tuner. I have used two different remotes and still the thing won't change to CD or auxiliary.

There had never been any problem with this at all....then boom!

Appreciate any help.

    Hello,
It is possible the unit is "locked up", try unplugging the AC power cord and leaving it unplugged for a few minutes. Then reconnect and see what happens, if still the same a call to Bose CS might be a good next step.
    Cheers, Ken

^ What Ken said, unplug it for awhile, plug it back in.

Sounds like the micro locked up. If that is the case then removing lower for a time should cause it to work correctly again. If not and the micro is bad it may cost more to fix then a new one that is if Bose even will provide parts from talking to people they don't and just want you so spend money again on a new one.

if it does not work after been unplug for at least one hour....Go with tonyb's suggestion!. "if" I had a Bose product and it got broken, I would not invest "ANY" money to fix it!.

Some very interesting suggestions. For the snobs in the audience, the Bose is a fine piece of equipment for listening to sports on the am and running my mp3 player through the machine so I can listen to my John Denver tunes.

Bose is a Fine piece of crap! They charged so much for their things and people get "brain washed" thinking they are getting quality....

It's called marketing because people are like sheep.

Unplug it for an hour or a day or two.

Is this really necessary when the OP clearly stated:

For what they are, I think the Bose wave radios sound pretty good. Are they a little pricey? Yeah, but again, given their size I think they perform well.

Neil, did "re-booting" it work? I once had a cd player that started doing all sorts of strange things, sonically; I unplugged it, plugged it back in---it never happened again.

I totally agree Steve. If my mom gave me one, you but I would put it to use. Office, bedroom, garage, even bathroom. Lots of possibilities where it can provide some nice background music. Hope you got it fixed...

My wife does, I try to keep it hidden from her so it doesn't mess up my speakers.
