I called Polk today and the tweeters are still not in yet and they said try about this time next week which is fine ,I need a new month to turn anyway. Another mod consideration that I originally nixed is doing Larry's rings who I have been in touch with. Tweeters will be first. Then x-overs but while they are sent out I am considering in doing the rings. After seeing both Darqueknights and H-9s unbelievably in depth detailed and pictured tutorials from 2010 this does not seem like a very hard mod to do at all.
I only have one more question about this that I do not think was covered or I just missed it.When these rings are installed are the original or Armacell made gaskets still needed. Also I heard some talk of using some adheive called PE. For the sake of utter embarassment what is the PE adhsive and when is this used.
Back to the game, Cards playing very sloppy tonight and can't hit John Lester w/ any authority.

The rings are a great upgrade. Definitely use gaskets. I used the armacel. Not sure what the PE is. If your talking about sealing the interior cabinet I used Loctite powergrab clear in the caulking tube size. No silicone, cheap, easy to apply.Got it at Home Depot aboht 4.50. Have fun witn the upgrades.

The Old Parts Express line ahhh. I've already used Liquid Nails for the tightening up of the interior seals of the cabinets so that's done .This adhesive had some thing to do w/ the drivers after doing and probably the last thing to do besides closing them up for good after all the mods are done.I wish I knew what freakin thread it was on and I did a search thing on it.Fun, therapy and rewarding it really is so far and w/ my thrift so far I've kept the costs way down.I'll give a total when completed.

PE probably refers to an adhesive made for gluing polyethylene,,,(plastics). Just a guess though. It would definitely help to know which thread to reference exactly what was being used for what.
The rings are easy, but do require careful attention to detail. And are so worth the time and expense. 100% happy I put them in my 11T's.

I know ,I know still racking my head on which thread it was on .This was only a few days ago, so anyone w/ a decent memory or knowledge of said adhesive any info would be appreciated.Next looking for the cheapest Dollar Store 2'' c-clamps , so I can get anything I need along the way along the way ( Walmart was out and they were $2.79 apiece).Preferably Chinese used for this one time deal.Need a good cheapo flea market over the weekend.
Still I believe to be it to be the final sealant to closing up everything after all is done. Not using Mortite at all and in all likely hood spray the rings a bit w/ some black flat as some suggested as a rust inhibiter of which I still have. Not much plastics in there so I do not it was refering to that.
