On the fence re: modding my Cary pre. Anyone A-B the F1 vs stock SLP 98?

With X-mas coming soon and the coin it will cost to hot rod the SLP-98 I'm not sure I can justify the upgrade. But, I want to . . .

New caps are $360 Hexfreds $100 Installation of HT Bypass $225 & bench fee $125

as you can see, NOT CHEAP! Has anyone auditioned the F1 ? Your thoughts, please . . .

    The f1 version has a little more extensions on both ends and more lively comparing to the non f1 version.

    I would agree with that assessment. ^^^ However, modding the 98 may or may not get you close to the F1. A crap shoot if you ask me, plus I'm not so sure you could recoup the cost of the mods should you ever sell the 98.
