It's been a while since I've been around.
Not to long ago I finally moved into a house where I can play as loud as I want - with the wifes approval of course.
I've got the SDA SRS '86 vintage bi-amped with Onkyo M-506RS.
Recently purchased a Musical Fidelity M1-DAC, early summer.
I have been experimenting with different types of audio formats.
I also recently purchased the Samsung BD-7500 BluRay player and I am using that to access the computer where the FLAC files are residing and then send the signal through the DAC.
The sound that comes out my SDA's with music played back in FLAC format is mind blowing to say the least.
Every instrument is clearly distinguishable and the detail of the music is purely awesome.
Music that I have listened to for many years, now has a renewed level of listening pleasure.
For example: The Eagles - Hotel California, not one of my most favorite songs. But played back in FLAC format, WOW! Just incredible.
For the Techies that read this thread, please follow me to the Going Digital area. I've got questions.
- cheers
