Ok guys, the last sale fell thru on the turntable so back up at 200. I still don't want to ship it so I would prefer someone local if possible and I'm willing to drive to meet. My zip is 54467. Otherwise if shipping you will have to cover all shipping costs. please ad 3% for paypal if not sending as a gift.

Then up are my Carver Amazing Silvers. Seeing I upgraded I really have no use for them anymore. I do have original boxes for them and the manual. Good condition with only some wear on the bottom of the speakers from moving them around but has the original woofers that have not needed to be replaced and everything is in good working order.

I would like 500 for these and will have to be local pick up only. I don't have anything to move them with anymore so really would like local on these. I will not ship unless you really want to do freight in which you will have to do a pick up service at my door and you will cover the full cost. 3% again for paypal unless paying as a gift.

Prices are firm. I just really don't want this stuff sitting around as I'm not using it and doesn't need to collect dust. I'm willing to wait for someone to drive up however will require some sort of deposit to hold for extended periods of time.

Yeah, just happened to be looking right after Chris posted, and my buddy is looking for a TT, actually would've bought it for him last time it was up, but I didn't happen to be looking that time.

Chris, I had to man up and tell her what time it was just to get a pair of SDA 2A's down in my little music room that she never enters...I would have to sleep with both eyes open if I brought those beautiful bad daddys into the home.

    That said...I was still considering it {scared face}

I wouldn't mind getting the amazings, but I do have two sets of plats that still need to be rebuilt

how would you compare these to the Big 1.2TL's?

I think the Silvers with boxes are priced more than fairly. I have fond memories of mine. GLWS Chris!

I never owned the 1.2TL's but did own the SDA SRS. I went with the Amazings instead of the SRS as I felt it was just a better fit for me. The Carvers were more natural sounding and I loved the way they just sounded more open.

They like power and did well on my tube amps as well as my Wyred monos.

I just really would like to see them go to a good home.

Chris, have you listed these at CarverAudio or TheCarverSite?

You may get more interest there from folks. Neither site has a fee to post a ad, and no post count requirements to do so I dont believe.

Damn this is tempting the hell out of me... I want them but I already have permission for the 1.2TL's to stay in the living room!

I would need to sell them to make room and I am not certain I want to do that, given I have two pairs of plats that need love too....

What to do guys, what to do.

These are better than the ALIII, at least IMHO and will still sound better that the 15's do in that space. You will regret passing these by, trust me on that.

Maybe, but they come around often enough, and when we have a house and I have my own room out of sight, and we have more disposable income..... then maybe a pair is in my future...

I wouldn't ship those under any circumstances for all the whiskey in Scotland.....the original boxes aren't that sturdy and crating them would be cost prohibitive, IMHO.

I agree. I don't want to ship because the original boxes while I do have them and they work for trasportation would not withstand the abuse on the road. They would need to be boxed in wood creates or something to protect them.

If someone wants to pay me for all that and the cost of shipping I'm fine with doing so but its not going to be cheap.

I'm in Central WI 54481 is my new zip. I'm willing to travel a little bit for a meeting to drop them off and do whatever but nothing really over 4 hours and would need to cover my cost of gas.

Takes about 4 hours to drive to Twin Cities, Chicago, etc.

I am willing to take a shot on shipping these. So long as they are bagged, one inch foam all around and am extra layer of cardboard in the box, they should be good to go via FedEx ground.

I'm going to do some research. I really would prefer not to ship. Issue is that I think the ribbons could be damaged if a magnet etc would come loose from rough handling.

I might consider it by pulling the ribbons and then packing them in a different box etc. The original boxes probably won't work for shipping and would need to secure new ones.
