Giants/Vikings

This has got to be the worst football game I have ever witnessed.. and being Vikings fan, last week was tough to watch. Both teams deserve to be considered the worst in the NFL this year...

Got home late from work and turned this on....it is pretty bad.
Think I'll watch a repeat of Antique Roadshow....

I can't believe I wasted my time watching this. The steckel years were bad this is worst. Frazier and crew needs to go along with spielman. I think Ponder or Cassel would of easily won this stinker. Skol Vikings my a$$.Home Theater

I agree with Jon Gruden, there's just no way Josh Freeman (or anybody else, for that matter) could be ready to run an NFL offense in an actual game in under two weeks. No matter who it's against.
And Mike Tirico (said near the end of the third quarter): "What a terrible quarter of football. These are both just very bad teams!"
A truly sad time for those of us with purple blood...I think it's time for some major changes, including the entire Vikings' coaching staff (at end of season). Frazier made NO adjustments during the game. Our D makes NO attempts to even break up any passing plays. They just wait for the receivers to catch the passes, then react - pathetic! Chris Cook and Josh Robinson are two of the absolute worst cornerbacks in the NFL. Our D-Line is WAY overrated. Our linebackers are always caught back on their heals too. Our O-Line is playing worse than ever - NO protection for the QB and NO holes for Adrian (13 carries for 28 yards!!).
New Vikes' 2013 season goal: Go for the top pick in next year's draft! It will be REALLY hard to out-position the Jaguars and the Bucs though. I think the Jags might actually be worse than we are and they both have no wins yet. -

I could do with less NFC East games overall on SNF, MNF, and TNF. I know they are all big markets and "America's team", but would rather watch just about any other teams then these...

I agree on the NFC (L)East, I'm tired of watching these games.

You Viking fans are just upset because my Giants came out and played some great football and spanked yo' ****!
No?
Well....... Ok...... You're right. That was one of the worst games I've ever watched. Mike Tirico was right, both teams were just bad, I guess the Giants were just less bad last night.
For me it's upsetting because the Giants used to be an extremely strong and balanced team. We had an offensive line that did a great job of protecting the quarterback. We had the running attack of Jacobs and Bradshaw. A great group of receivers. A succession of very good to great tight ends providing passing options in the middle of the field. And a league leading defense, capable of stopping the run, rushing any passer, and brilliant secondary coverage. And a great quarterback in Eli Manning.
Now what have we got? An offensive line that can't block. A young running back with spinal stenosis and an aging Brandon Jacobs who can't stay healthy enough to be on the field. Yes, we still have some great receivers. We have no tight end worth mentioning. And an aging defense incapable of performing anywhere near it's greatness of the past. Add all of this together and now we have a chuck-and-duck quarterback in a state of panic because he has no tools around him.
Game planning the Giants has become relatively easy. Rush four lineman. That's all you need to do. With our lack of offensive line, that's all an opponent needs to do to get to the quarterback or stop our running game. We have no threat up the middle, so our receivers are relatively neutralized by facing teams with seven defenders able to protect the pass.
I'm looking at the bright side. We'll be picking real early in the draft next year....Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
The Vikings' Savior of the Week carousel: Somehow, Josh Freeman is now suffering from "Concussion-Like Symptoms" today and.....brace yourself.......Christian Ponder has been named the Vikings starting QB against Green Bay on Sunday night!!!! Funny thing is, nobody seems to have witnessed any shot to Freeman's head or his being taken to the ground in the game or at any time since. Nor did Freeman exhibit any such symptoms Monday night or yesterday. Most who are voicing their opinion think this is just a little "funny", just like Ponder's rib injury a few weeks ago.
I see "us" going for the top pick in next year's draft - "Better get ready, ready for Teddy (Bridgewater)!!" - like 2011's "Suck for (Andrew) Luck!"
Yay! -

Who was this teekay0007 (NFL genius) guy predicting a pick of Teddy Bridgewater for the lowly Vikings last October 23rd? ;-) Apparently, he threw over 1100 passes while at Louisville and only 24 were interceptions. I'm way hoping his game translates nicely to the pros!
