Has anyone used this receiver for SDA's and if so how well does it perform? I currently have the B&K ST-202 but I may pick up a 5700 and hopefully for a great price. Does the 5700 handle high current loads better than the B&K? The B&K is aging but sounds good, just never heard a 5700.

I had to jump on it considering the price, $150 was something I couldn't pass up and is local. I will look at it tomorrow but the only thing I'm concerned about is it's age. Not terribly old but any owners of a 5700 please chime in as to their satisfaction or dissatisfaction with it.
I'm not concerned about HDMI, just 2Ch and even considering the power I may use it as my 5.1 setup with the 2B's. -
Maybe I'm missing something, but why would you think an AVR would sound better than the B&K amp?Political Correctness'.........defined

I don't think it would sound better, but only considering the fact the 5700 has a hefty amp section, I'm curious how this particular model can drive the 2B's. I won't agree that an AVR will sound better than a separate amp, but the 5700 is a different animal, but still an AVR.
I may just move the 2B's to another location in the future keeping the B&K on them and using the 5700 for the RT800's, but want to keep that option open which is why want the 5700 and for $150 it's hard to pass up.
The 5700 is close to power output of the 202 in watts but current flow is another area....not sure how the 5700 stacks up.
My intentions were not to replace the B&K with the 5700, but curious how well the 5700 drives them. -

See, I was missing something. Thanks.Political Correctness'.........defined

Needless to say, most of the near 50lb mass is on one side. This is how I picked it up, not cleaned yet but in great shape.
The preamp section is noticeably cleaner than my 3300, dialogue is crisp and detailed.

Wow - there is like zero space inside that unit. I've worked on a lot of Denons but never seen one so tightly packed!2 Channel - Polk SDA-2BTL, Carver TFM-35, Peachtree iDAC, Qobuz streamed via Episode Lynk using bubble UPnP server

Yeah, no doubt...I looked under the cover of my 3300 and in comparison it looks like they forgot to finish building it...
Well, I started doing some AB comparisons between the 5700 and the ST-202 and as of right now, this Denon can hold it's own. I'm just in awe of it's power and clarity and I can't say for certain which one is better but I think the 202 adds some warmth to the vocals...not much but the 5700 is just ever so slightly bright and honestly not in a bad way, just the nature of the B&K being slightly warm.
I don't know what albums to listen to for a solid comparison other than the tracks I am very familiar with, so if there are some favorites of members for an A-B comparison please share your thoughts.
I put on Rumors in 2CH 24/96 PCM and I couldn't provide a clear winner, they both just pound.
From what I have researched, Denon took a slight step backwards with the predecessors to the 5700 from a cost standpoint, but that's just hearsay.
Not sure what it's rated exactly at 6 ohms but it definitely works very well with these 2B's. Rated power isn't everything I understand that, but impressive for an AVR.
Rated Output:140 W + 140 W (8 ohms, 20 Hz ~ 20 kHz with 0.05% T.H.D.) 170 W + 170 W (8 ohms, 1 kHz with 0.7% T.H.D.)
Dynamic power: 190 W x 2 ch (8 ohms) 310 W x 2 ch (4 ohms) 390 W x 2 ch (2 ohms)
