That's a nice price for those. I have a set. Never seen that kind of cloth grill, though? Interesting. These speakers are a very easy speaker to live with. Sound very nice on vintage equipment and tubes. Nice for an office or the like. I run mine with an old HK430 (a perfect match) and a turntable--nothing fancy, an old school Ratshak table with the Shure cartridge.
GLWTS!

These are A-25s through and through except for the cabinet 'veneer' (and the grilles)! This is a screamin' deal for a classic - and very satisfying - loudspeaker. These are easy to drive, too... 'great for vacuum tube amps' Oh, cnh already said that... :-)
Oh, and Sykesville is close to everything... right off I-70, you DC-ites! -
I've had several pairs of these...and still have a pair in the garage rig. GREAT speaker. Very capable in all areas.

Surprised these are still here!!

Wouldn't be if I lived near Sykesville!

I already own a pair. Some one should really step up here!
$75? Is a no brainer!

I'm very tempted, but I've got a full complement of speakers in the basement right now and would be more tempted if they weren't the vinyls...
Rick, good luck with the sale!!

I have experience in that from my Polk 7s, and even have a little cherry left!mhardy6647 wrote: »75 Samoleums!?! Strip the vinyl and get 'em veneered.HT System:

I don't know; the aperiodic loading makes them pretty sensitive; my guess would be upper 80s dB @ 1 meter for 2.83 VAC (1 watt @ 8 ohms) input. Empriically, I'll tell you that they will "play nice" with a fairly low powered vacuum tube amplifier, although they're probably at their best with mid power (35 to 60 wpc, ish) solid state amplification, as befits their era.
My parents used their A-25s with a 15 wpc Hitachi receiver 'way back when and the combination was dandy sounding.

fyi- I would trade these for a receiver. Not to picky about what kind. Need to be able to drive 4 ohm speakers Infiniti QBI got static in my head

If one of youse mugs wants these and lives near Sykesville (I grew up none too far from Sykesville...) and doesn't want to lay down tthe cold hard cash, let me know & I'll spot you an old amp or receiver to swap for the speakers. ;-)
They are very good loudspeakers! -
Wish I was closer to Sykesville. I heard a pair of the Dynaco's at TroyD's during polkfest and would love to have a pair.
rromeo- didn't I sell you a pair of KLH Model SIX's? How would you compare the two?2-ch System: Parasound P/LD 2000 pre, Parasound HCA-1000 amp, Parasound T/DQ Tuner, Phase Technology PC-100 Tower speakers, Technics SL-1600 Turntable, Denon 2910 SACD/CD player, Peachtree DAC iT and X1asynchorus USB converter, HSU VTF-3 subwoofer. -
MHardy- Thanks for the support and info!!
Travis- I still have the KLH 6's. The main difference I hear with the KLH's is the bass is deeper than the Dynaco. Still the Dynaco is just very listenable. If the Dynaco was the only speaker I was allowed to have I would not be unhappy. I am only selling because I have too much stuff and could use some cash.
For $50 this is no brainer imoI got static in my head
