Yes, they make VERY good amps in their price point, and if you shop around (ubid/ebay) you can get them for less than $1 a watt.

Great entry level seperates, big toroidal power supplies, high damping, and ample headroom. Very nuetral sounding, and can drive low impedance loads. I use an AMP One / Pre One combo for the whole-house rig right now, and it works and sounds great. The 5.x series are great little monoblocks too, and make great sub amps, lots of built-in features. I have a 5.1 amp I got for $50, waiting on a back-loaded horn sub project.

I'd recommend them over the entry level HK Pa series, and Onkyo 51xx series that you also see so much of.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I used to be pretty skeptical about Audiosource, but after listening to a couple models in their line-up, I'm impressed. Alot of bang for the buck.

I concur, probably the best value in entry level separates, IMO.

I've got an Amp One I'd be willing to sell. It's the original Amp One with the power meters. The meter bulbs are burned out but you can replace them. The meters work fine and the unit is in excellent working and cosmetic condition.
    $110 shipped.
