I wanted to listen to Dylan's Blood on the Tracks again since it was truly magnificent when I first heard the MoFi reissue. I turned up the volume on the Placette and noticed popping in the left channel, then the needle dropped and sound came only from the right channel. Narrowed it down to the phono pre, it is on its way to SF. What a bummer! Just needed to vent. Thank you.

    That sucks.

Sorry to hear about the pre.

Sorry about the gear troubles. I hope you get it back soon and you are able to enjoy Blood On The Tracks. I have the MFSL SACD and it DOES sound great!

Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion." :\
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....
