After vasilating between doing minor mods, some mods. going the distance and also said would never do that came up w/ some mods. So far I've done Liquid Nailed all body seams (neatened later installations), Extreme Dynamating all speaker basket spars, added floor deadening material, removed poly switches and replaced w/ Mills 0.5 Mills resistors and waiting on the RDO 194-1 tweeters. Now the lead I'm thinking of doing. I found a pair of 10' length Audioquest factory terminated w/ bananas for the speaker ends and pins for the spk. selector ends.As most of you guys know I never bought into the boutique line of any kind of wire but for $30 w/p/u this didn't seem to be a deal breaker.I now use 14gu clear w/my own ends and this would be going 1 higher gu@16 but all factory fittings.Would this be a go or no go ,keep in mind x-overs will be sent out after the results of the tweeter installation and then the x-overs w/ VR-3 when time and finances permit.Lenght is perfect,so is losing a gauge at only 10' feet be all that detremental?

:"I" would keep the 14-gauge, especially if you have 4-ohm nominal SDA speakers. Assure that the terminations are secure, and don't obsess.
