How would you describe Polk Audio (home theater) speakers?

How would you guys personally describe Polk Audio's speakers? What are some trait characteristics of Polk? Obviously not all their speakers are identical, but are there traits that they share? I'm curious because I work at Best Buy and I'm trying to differentiate speakers to customers. Ultimately it is up to whatever sounds good to them, but to a customer that thinks all of them sound great how would you then differentiate them other than price? That is what I am trying to figure out.

For example, from my research I have gathered that in general, Klipsch designs speakers to be very efficient. They don't require a lot of power from an amplifier. They typically have a flat frequency response, so they are more "accurate" at reproducing the source material. Paul Klipsch also believed in low distortion in his speakers.

How would one describe what Polk tries to do?

Thanks

Give you all the details on the top end for great sound resolution during a movie and more slamming bass to keep it exciting, thats what I think my rti's do for HT

When i sold them at BB I used to tell people that they are a warmer, jazzy sounding speaker. Having all the detail but it wasnt shrill ortheir in there face. If a customer did a mix of music and movies or just music I would steer them toward polk. If they want loud impactful sounding speakers mainly for movies I would push kilpsch.

If there person listened to music, regardless of the genre, I would play some Botti or Hotel California off my phone and the Polks would almost always be purchased

I feel like Polk makes a speaker for everyone on every budget, just gotta find which one it is. Having owned several pairs of Klipsch and Polk I agree with Specd_out, not knocking either one they're just apples and oranges and serve different tastes.

I have owned many models of klipsch tweeters and even though they are loud, clear, detailed, and efficient I cannot listen to them at high or moderate volumes for long periods of time. The horn tweeters are too strong and piercing to me. I absolutely love my polk rt5000p systems. They sound warm, full, accurate, and just absolutely amazing. The music tends to have a stronger impact on me. I guess I am bad at describing music lol. Hope my feedback helps.
