Stereo receiver with Cd Player

Hey all,
I'm currently looking for a nice toned down setup for a small room. I was originally looking around for a stereo receiver, but having a cd player built in would be a nice addition. I wouldn't have to deal with separates and more cords! The NAD L715 which reminds me of the old NAD l40 caught my eye but NAD always seems to be behind the curve on newer technologies like USB's but I've always liked their sound. Are there other viable options out there? A cd player and receiver was never a really attractive options so I"m guessing most of the big name guys never really bothered to bring a contender to the market. So the question would be: am I barking up the wrong tree trying to do everything in one box? Should I just try and find a nice stereo receiver and add a simple CD player?
The room is at most 15x14 or so and I'm driving some Insignia bookshelves which I'll probably upgrade as soon as I find a good deal on craigslist. I'll never be playing it too loudly so loads of honking power is not a must.
Any suggestions would be helpful!

Some $300+ office systems have that kind of combo. You could just substitute your speakers for the ones that come with these. Denon and Onkyo make some. I believe TEAC may have something as well. Might not be powerful enough for what you need but they sound OK.
Actually, there are some newer NETWORK players that include a CD unit in them like this Marantz:

Denon has one, too:

Thanks for the replies!
Upon further research, it looks like the only advantage of these guys are the form factor. I have plenty of room to work with and I thought it'd be easier to have it all in one but it seems I can get used equipment for the same price and get separates. I'm leaning toward Rotel equipment with some older B&W speakers now for my bedroom setup.2Ch Tube Audio Convert -

Not a good pairing, IMO.Political Correctness'.........defined

Attachment not found. If you can snag one of these. They take up little to no room. Rotel rv555 verticle 20wpc. I have it hooked to P-A Monitor 4's . Perfect for bedroom or office like we use it. PS: dont let the size fool ya sounds fantastic too..

Agreed also.....
For a bedroom system, do you really want a stack of full size separates ? Think about it.....
