FXiA4 rear placement question
Hi all! I have a question about using the FXiA4 speakers as rear surrounds. I'm also about to get another pair to use as my side surrounds (am using some RT15i's there now). So I set up my rears with the Right speaker on the right side and the Left speaker on the left side. I know if I was using them as side surrounds that would be correct because they say you want the woofers facing the front stage, but what about using them as rear surrounds. If I use them that way, then the woofers are facing away from the listening position and only a single tweeter is facing the listening position with the woofer and other tweeter facing out. This didn't make sense to me, so I set them in bi-pole mode and put the Right speaker on the left side and the Left speaker on the rigt side. Now there's only a single tweeter facing out and all the other speakers are facing in to the listening position.
So, is that the correct way to use these as rear surrounds? If so, when I do get the second set for side surrounds, should I change anything in the rear position, or should they stay how they are. Also, is it ok to use side surrounds in di-pole mode with the rear surrounds in bi-pole mode, or should all four be set the same?

I believe you got the left right placement correct and the proper settings for the bi-dipole switch correct also.Home Theater

Thanks for the response zane77! That sounds like the logical way to use them back there. I'm going to leave them that way unless someone has a good reason why that's not a good thing.Samsung 65" ES8000 LED
