Would there be any advantage of doubling up 12 gauge speaker wire?

I think that makes it 10 gauge, which might be better, but it all depends on how long the run is and whether the wire is good to begin with. Doubling up Lowe's 12 gauge lamp chord probably ins't going to improve the sound quality...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

Just to the guy you're buying it from. Like rooftop mentioned just get 10ga. if you want thicker wire. I have used Parts Express 10ga. for years in my HT respectable wire... -
The run is about 25 Feet. Got the 12 ga from Monoprice.

You should be ok with that length.

If so, then people may disagree on your definition of "sounds good".
If your just here to sell stuff and drum up a post count, the only thing you'll accomplish is to piss off members. If you have SRT's for sale, try your local craigslist, Ebay, Audiogon.HT SYSTEM-

not trying to piss off members... i signed up a while ago, i think it's hideous that i have to post 100 times before i can post my SRT's for sale. i'm just trying to offer then to a fellow polkie first.

Mark, we don't keep Polkies locked up in a box on this forum, they constantly cruise other websites like the ones I mentioned for deals. Whats "hideous" as you put it, is adults acting like children when they have to abide by rules.HT SYSTEM-
