Hi, is there anyone out there that has had this DVD player and have upgraded? Is there really that much difference in the audio and video quality between this unit and others? I would like to demo other units but I don't understand how I could see any difference between players in places like Circuit City using equipment right out of the box and not being set up in a home environment. Any recommendations?

Thanks

I've had the 414 since Jan. of 99 and it has been flawless. Recently upgraded to the Pioneer Elite DV-45A because it has progressive scan to go with our hdtv widescreen tv. The DV-45A produces a sharper picture and so far I am happy with it. The 414 is now in our bedroom. Both players are very good. Hope this helps.
