Subwoofer EQing

Well, I've almost got all the speakers connected in my system and I'm going to run Audyssey tomorrow after I get the center mounted. Do y'all have any suggestions or tips when calibrating the sub using Audyssey? It says set the sub volume at 75db but I have no way of knowing where that is on the knob. Anyone else know? On a side note, I don't know how the bass could get much better though, the first place I put it rocked the entire room with about 1/2 volume on it!! Let me know what y'all think.

get an SPL meter or load an SPL app on your phone. C weight slow setting. CHannel match after running Aud.

Best way to do it is use something like REW and position to remove as many dips as possible and EQ the peaks then run AUD. That is more than most people want to do though.

Go to Audyssey website for FAQ's. Also, go to AVS Forum and search Audyssey 101. This is a pretty good instructional manual on setting calibrations and answers most questions. + thsmith's suggestion.

Thanks guys! Got it done today! As an aside, the Onkyo popped up a decibel meter for the sub so I could adjust the volume down to 75db like it asked. Pretty cool! It required a little tweaking but I've got it all up and running extremely well now!
