Computer guru help needed...again!! Calendar question...

Need to schedule an event for every other day to email me or pop-up etc...this would be for at least a year if not longer. I have Outlook and gmail and can't seem to figure it out :( As i have mentioned many times before..i am just not real smart about this stuff...

    In Outlook can't you just schedule an appointment or meeting then make it recurring with a reminder.

    Got it figured out with help from the folks at Outlook..not sure what i kept doing wrong, tried for over an hour and still couldn't get it to work but now all is ok...thanks!
