Soundlab M3PX WOOT!

So as some of you know that I picked up about a month or so ago some Soundlab M3PX speakers. Also in the meantime I sold the VTL and picked up some Wyred SX1000 monos and a new TT. Well after listening for awhile to the Soundlabs all I can say is that I'm pretty much at the point where I found what I'm looking for in a speaker and very very happy.
They are huge even for being the smallest ones and tower over my Carvers (which will be sold). My biggest concern was going to be the bass, didn't think something like this could have a decent amount of bass in them however that is not so. No its not hit you in the face with a frying pan bass but its there, its natural, and I like it. I was tempted to run a sub with them when first thinking about the purchase but now I don't think I would have to. Even for the music I listen to they have a good amount and I'm not really wanting more.
The sound overall is very coherent and natural. They image great and the soundstage is nice and deep. The Wyred amps do a great job at keeping up and powering these beasts. While I'm sad that I had to sell the VTL's the trade off of not having the room heat up an extra 10 degrees or more is great. I've been listening more and more than normal and find these to be the best fit for what I'm looking for.
I'll have to try and get some pictures up but so far lovin' everything about the change. I'm pretty sure if I want an upgrade I will be looking at going bigger for the speakers. Possibly before that would be the upgrade to the Transformer 2 but seriously happy so far with the speakers.
As a side note, I think its crazy this whole thing started with a yamaha AVR and a pair of TSi100 speakers. For the last 4 years its been a fun ride and I know its still not over

Glad your enjoying your system. It's funny how you started out and where you are now. I feel I'm going in the same direction, especially following this forum...open up the rabbit hole._____________________________________________________________________________________________

....they have a fairly high WAF with that simplistic appearance.
Appearance....yeah.....price tag.....uh, no. My wife would say we could go to Italy for that kind of money. I would say but we would have to come back, the speakers will last a lot longer.HT SYSTEM-

I just find them overall very natural to my ears. The Carvers were good but these are better.
I would love to get my ears on some of the bigger panels. Those go even deeper than mine. Crazy as I think the bass on these is already good.
Sanders are also great! -
Enjoy your new set up cstmar always nice when things work out better..

Now you need to buy a pair of 10k cables and 3k ics from me as its all about pure silver now to really open up the top end on those types of speakers

Kewl! Glad you are enjoying them Chris. Another assimilation to the ESL side. I’m takin’ some of the credit. I went from Amazings to hybrid ESL's too. It was also good hooking up with Ted again.
