:) I love my LSi system! Yummy. Even with music I have been listening to for thirty years, I hear stuff i never did before.

Why the 15s and the 9s?

    One amp driving all that?

    Why both? Overkill!

For now, yes one amp powers all. I am now looking into amps for the fronts, but have no experience in multi amps so I am reticent to purchase anything till I have a grasp on the subject.

The 15's are directly in front, and the 9's are of to the side angled to point at the chief listening position. My crappy couch.

The configuration kind of looks like a rising arch from the 9's to the 15's and back down to the 9's. The 9's are also about three feet forward of the 15's forming an second arc. I have only had the speakers since christmas, and have not even fully broke them in, so speaker placement will be fine tuned. Hopefully, I will figure out why I cant upload my jpegs so all can see.

YES; Tales from Topographic Oceans is amazing! Close to the edge!

I've had one pair of LSi15's for almost a year now, and the other LSI's for about 10 months. I think they're just about broken in now. ;)

Congrats. The LSi speakers are damn good.

Do you have both the 15 and 9 hooked up to the same outputs on the amp? You could be starving the speakers and overdrive the amp. If that's how you have them connected, the nominal load is now 2 Ohms per side.

Since you have a 5ch amp, use seperate outputs for each speaker.

The 15's and 9's are on seperate outputs a and b respectively. Thanks for the heads up.

Nice to see that yet another Sony ES has been able to handle high power demands :)

What model ES do you have?
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
