When will the forum upgrade be finished?

Just curious how things are going. From my perspective, I see the widescreen format is missing, and the ability to add emoticans to a post is also missing. Maybe others are aware of other missing items.
Any idea as to when everything will be finished. Thanks for all that you do.

many of the emoticons cant be added via a button click, but still can be typed in manually
Examples (subtract the spaces) from the text. I am sure I am missing some so feel free to add.

^^^Thanks! I was trying to remember how to manually type them in. I added one incorrectly yesterday with the addition of two of these | (with the colon). Anyway, thanks for the reminder of how to manually type them in.^^^
Also, I am hoping the widescreen format will return soon too.
Taken from a recent Audioholics reply regarding "Club Polk" and Polk speakers:
"I'm yet to hear a Polk speaker that merits more than a sentence and 60 seconds discussion."
My response is: If you need 60 seconds to respond in one sentence, you probably should't be evaluating Polk speakers.....

Hello,
I posed your question to Polk and received the following reply:
"At present the forum is going through some extensive examination and a temporary version is in place now. The IT department is working to modify the existing system with an eye to making it more robust and secure."
Hang in there, guys, Polk wants to make changes that are more than just a bandaid.
Ken -
Thanks for the info Ken, as usual your help in all things is outstanding.
Now since this is a temp version, that means a final version is still on the table. Which also means we have time for suggestions still so why not turn this thread into some suggestions for the powers at be ?
My suggestion is to have Kate Upton in a cut-off Polk t-shirt on the forum header. No ?? Too much ?? Too little ?? Have to admit, it will drive traffic up to the site.
How about a longer period to edit posts. More stringent ways to keep spammers out ? Maybe get Matt Polk himself to sign up as a member, post every so often. If it takes a pizza and a case of beer to make that happen, I'm in. Maybe even some of the designers and engineers who put together Polk speakers, they can offer up the membership some insight and valuable info as to what they did and why. Curious minds and all that. Just a suggestion anyway, it seems most here like to mod their speakers and the SDA's themselves have enough of a following that Matt himself could offer up some good insight, even stories, that would be of interest to all.HT SYSTEM-

Not to be cynical (who, me?), but after being through countless reorgs, downsizing, etc., I wonder if that is "management speak" for "We are evaluating whether to continue this forum, or pull the plug."
I hope that is wrong, and it continues even better.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable

If anybody has noticed, you can scroll down to where the widescreen option is/was and click on "test". It will make it widescreen, however you may have to get used to the new look.....which most likely will not remain. All of what we used to see is there on the test forum option. Widescreen, emoticons, etc..
Anyone who wants to post a picture or embed a link without knowing the code(s) can switch to this to do so and then switch back when you are done if you don't like it.
