Subwoofer vibration

I have a PSW-404, and it has a small vibration sounding noise if i listen right next to the speaker.......does anyone know what my problem is?....i have already had to replace the driver, because it fried.

Also.....The sub has a hum, that you can hear when everything is off, and it has a split wire subwoofer kit by IXOS. Someone else had a similar problem and they returned their sub and got it replaced.....could this be what i need to do....possibly upgrade to 505?

I dont know what to do:confused:

    Hum - Transformer noise within the sub

    the vibration, unless you driver is spatting it out audibly at 1-2-3 feet (fwiw, your seating position) dont worry about it.

    My M&K makes a 'vibration' noise too......so dont sweat it. Also you could possibly be pushing it to hard.

    Also, my M&K has a very audible HUM when the volume knob goes past a certain point. FWIW

    Make sure your sub volume knob isn't turned up past the 12-1 o'clock position.

    I had a similar vibration like sound from my psw150 but didn't have a humm associated with it. Mine sounded more like paper vibrating in a strong wind. I took it to an authorized polk repair specialist who reglued the "spider". Problem fixed.
