I am in the market for a tube preamp with a remote and feel this will be a good option. Just seeing if anyone is looking to get rid of theirs.
Setup:
2 Channel: Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grand, T+A P 1230R, Primare SPA21, Oppo BDP-105
PC: Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand, Cambridge Azure 650A v2 , Peachtree iDAC, Denon DVD-3800BDCI

Don't mean to spend your money for you, but if you have any interest in vinyl, check out the Dared MC-7P. Definitely more expensive than the SL-2000A, but it's a better sounding preamp (it should be for the cost...) and has the phono stage. I used to own the SL-2000A, so I know what a great piece it is. But when I decided to get into vinyl and I did the math, it was much more cost effective to sell the SL2000A and get the MC-7P than to get a phono preamp and interconnects to add to the SL2000A.
If you're not on the vinyl train, I can still recommend the MC-7P as sounding better than the SL2000A, but there are probably better alternatives at a better price without the phono stage.Good music, a good source, and good power can make SDA's sing. Tubes make them dance. -
Lsaf....
I know May can't come soon enough. Not sure if I'll hold out that long for a preamp, but there still is a tube amp, dac, interconnects/cables, speakers I'll still need to consider later down the road.Setup:

Thanks for your input it does help especially since you have experience with both. Not willing to drop $450 for a new SL2000A right now but for $300-$350 makes it more reasonable. It's either this or wait until I'm ready to spend closer to $1000. There is a Sonic Frontiers Line 1 Signature preamp for $700 local but really want to be able to use a remote. I'm not into vinyl so the phone stage isn't necessary for my setup.Setup:
